cookeville farmers market
Converted to low maintenance garden in 2009, these beds are lush with beautiful flowers that thrive in drier conditions.
ag in the classroom
This annual event in March pairs Master Gardeners with 1st-grade students who learn how to plant a seed properly. The children delight in this activity and as an added bonus they get to take their seedling home. Average attendance is 1,200 students.
Cookeville train depot museum
These beds and planters welcome visiters to the Train Depot Museum in downtown Cookeville.
putnam county fair
Be sure to stop by our building at the Fairgrounds filled with educational and beautiful displays. Lots of gardening information is available and you are sure to find some great ideas that will work in your own backyard. This occurs annually in early August.
annual plant sale
Held in late April, the plant sale comes at the perfect time for planting a variety of annuals, perennials, and vegetable plants. The plant sale provides locally grown, healthy plants at an affordable price for the community. All proceeds from the sale are used to support other PCMG projects in the community.

bend of the river
Each fall, Master Gardeners work with 3rd and 4th grade students from Burks Elementary School in Monterey to teach them about plants and seeds. This is an outdoor adventure which combines learning with fun.
demonstration gardens at the Extension Office
The gardens at the Putnam County UT Extension Office are in the process of being redesigned and replanted. Stay tuned for updates and progress reports.

Burgess falls butterfly garden
Master Gardeners have been hard at work at Burgess Falls State Park where native wildflowers never looked so good. Look closely at the wildlife this garden sustains.
tennessee tree Day project
Each year Tennessee Tree Day engages thousands of volunteers in a fun, meaningful, family friendly, educational experience as native trees are given away for planting in the watersheds of TN.
